Honestly about the price: it isn't the cheapest body lotion. It's handmade in small batches, built on organic butters and oils, and with regular use it lasts about a month: roughly £0.83 per day (depending on the amount used and the area treated). You can even use it as a hand cream.

How it feels: after the bath, with a bergamot-patchouli scent

After a bath or shower, apply to slightly damp skin and massage in gently: a light, creamier texture, hydrating and non-sticky. Its scent is fresh, citrusy and deep, earthy-woody: natural bergamot and patchouli essential oil, the same as in Natural Deodorant, so the two products together give a harmonious scent. Afterwards the skin feels hydrated. Use daily as needed. Also ideal as a hand cream.

Organic mango seed butter, organic babassu oil and organic olive oil

The lipid base. Mango seed butter is rich in fatty acids, babassu oil in lauric acid, and olive oil contains vitamin E; all three are emollients.

Sodium hyaluronate – HMW

The salt form of hyaluronic acid, with outstanding water-binding capacity, in high molecular weight (HMW) form. Larger molecules bind water mainly on the skin's surface. Listed as Sodium Hyaluronate in the INCI.

Urea and Sodium PCA

Components of the skin's own Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF); water-binding ingredients.

Organic aloe vera juice

The base of the water phase.

Niacinamide and panthenol

The active form of vitamin B3 and the provitamin of B5; skin-conditioning ingredients that support skin comfort.

Squalene, beta-sitosterol and tocopherol

Lipid-like ingredients similar in structure to the skin's own lipids; tocopherol is an antioxidant.

Polyglyceryl-3 dicitrate/stearate

A PEG-free emulsifier.

Bergamot and patchouli essential oil

Natural essential oils that provide the scent. Limonene, linalool and citral are their natural components, fragrance allergens that must be listed on the ingredient list under EU regulation.
